I was born and raised in Northern Virginia. My desire to engage and connect with other people has always been one of the most important facets of who I am. I believe in the power of a kind word, second chances, and living a life full of love. I live in Alexandria, Virginia with my husband Peter, our son Oliver and our nine year old doxie mutt, Henry.
Where we started:
Mornings Like These founded on a morning unlike any other. It came into being in the most organic of ways. I had spent months, perhaps even years, in a depth of depression. I felt no escape. One particularly beautiful morning, it dawned on me that everyday can be my best day, every morning can be moving, profound, and beautiful. To find joy in my life and bring peace, I made a habit of setting intention and developing routine every single day. Through cataloging my mornings, dedicating my day and encouraging people across the world to catalog their own mornings, I had hoped to start a movement of presence and mindfulness. We are responsible for the media we put out and we are also responsible for the thoughts we think. We are responsible for the media we share and how that fits into the narrative we're writing and sharing. This message caught on and the concept of mindful mornings spread. Through Mornings Like These, I am able to curate motivational media and connect with people across the world. What started as a humble hashtag project has connected me with hundreds of makers and brands as well as human beings who want to live a more present life.
Where we are now:
Over the years, Mornings Like These has developed into a well-rounded photography, content and social influence brand. I have worked with dozens of brands on social content campaigns, social media consulting, photoshoots, storytelling and events. Through starting MLT and developing a love for digital storytelling, the brand formed organically as relationships with companies and audiences began to take shape.
On the Instagram, you will see mornings shared by people across the world, including glimpses of my own mornings and peeks into my life and work.
